Animal Control

Animal Control Department falls under the direction of the Police Department. It is comprised of one full-time ACO and one part-time ACO. Along with duties of picking up animals and their care while housed, they are responsible for the care and up keep of the holding facility.

Fire Department

The Union City Fire Department, as first responders, dedicates their efforts to provide for the safety and welfare of the public through preservation of life, health, property, and the environment.

Parks & Recreation

Union City Parks & Recreation is dedicated to providing our citizens with a wide range of recreational opportunities in a cost effective way. From leisure and passive activities to organized athletics.

Planning & Codes

The Department of Planning and Codes Enforcement serves as the information center for planning, zoning, storm water, plan reviews, building permits, property maintenance and rental inspections.

Police Department

The Union City Police Department works to ensure safety and security for citizens, and is nationally recognized as a leader in Community Policing.

Public Works

The Public Works offers a wide range of infrastructure services to city residents and beyond. From water and wastewater collection, to street repairs, Union City Public Works maintain and improve the city's infrastructure.

Stormwater Management

The Union City Planning and Codes Department is responsible for developing and implementing the City of Union City’s Storm Water Management Plan as required by the Environmental Protection Agency and the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit issued by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.

Turf Management

The Department of Turf Management and Facility Operations is responsible for the maintenance and scheduling of all baseball, softball and soccer facilities in Graham Park.

Waste Water Treatment Plant

The Union City Waste Water Treatment Plant maintains strict quality control over the operation ensuring that effluent meets and/or exceeds all government standards including those of the State of Tennessee and United States Environmental Protection Agency.

Water Treatment Plant

The City of Union City Water Treatment Plant is committed to providing residents with a safe and reliable supply of high-quality drinking water. The City of Union City’s water meets state and federal standards for both appearance and safety.
